Canada ruling Conservatives tied with rivals-poll

Canada's governing Conservatives are tied with the main opposition Liberals in public opinion, and neither party would have a clear chance of victory if an election were held now, according to a weekly poll released on Thursday.

Liberals Try to Topple Canadian Government

OTTAWA — Canada moved closer to its second federal election in less than a year on Tuesday, after the opposition leader Michael Ignatieff announced that his Liberal Party would no longer support Prime Minister Stephen Harper and his Conservative government.
