As the snow melts away, the poop is revealed. The rough winter has done a number on all New Yorkers, but for some residents in Inwood and Washington Heights the straw has finally broken the camel’s back.

The slow-motion video clip by Pedigree and TBWA Toronto captures dogs at 1000 frames per second. It makes you feel like throwing some dog food into your shopping cart on your next grocery trip, even if you don't have a pooch.

This little red squirrel was rescued after being found injured in a Colombian park. Rescuer Ruben Gaviria admitted him into his Envigado home amid concerns that the furry fellow may not survive. Luckily, his cat Tita took the little squirrel under her wing... ummm paw, even providing milk to help him recover.

"Pudgy pooches and fat cats are now the norm," states Dr. Ernie Ward, founder and President of the Association for Pet Obesity Prevention (APOP). "This is the first generation of pets that will not live as long as their parents. Even worse, the majority of today's overweight pets will endure painful and expensive medical conditions - all of which can be avoided."
