Japanese macaque monkeys were caught on camera having a snowball fight by amateur photographer Masashi Mochida. Masashi took the photos at the Jigokudani Monkey Park, which is located in Yamanouchi Town, in Japan's mountainous Nagano Prefecture.

This little red squirrel was rescued after being found injured in a Colombian park. Rescuer Ruben Gaviria admitted him into his Envigado home amid concerns that the furry fellow may not survive. Luckily, his cat Tita took the little squirrel under her wing... ummm paw, even providing milk to help him recover.

Squirrel is surprise star of holiday photo

Melissa Brandts and her husband were surprised to find a squirrel posing with them in a photo taken on holiday. The couple had set the timer on their camera while posing at a lakeside in a national park in Canada. Just as they were about to be captured on camera the cheeky squirrel popped up in the foreground and stole the show. The picture was taken at the side of the stunning Lake Minnewanka in Banff National Park, Canada.
