Hong Kong detects drug-resistant A/H1N1 flu virus

Hong Kong's Department of Health's Public Health Laboratory Services Branch (PHLSB) Monday announced that a strain of A/H1N1 influenza virus which is resistant to anti-virus drug oseltamivir (Tamiflu) was detected.

The United States still has 71 million doses of H1N1 swine flu vaccine that have not been used, but it is not yet time to throw them out, the federal government said on Monday.
