A stricter curfew for minors will be extended two weeks, because the measure has been successful in helping to curb violent attacks by teen mobs that had severely injured several people in recent months, city officials said.

But target Corey White's family saw the posts this spring and called police. A Philadelphia judge on Monday upheld felony charges against the pair, who've been detained since their June arrest. Hours later, the 22-year-old White was gunned down on a southwest Philadelphia street.

A 21-year-old pregnant woman died after a fight at Philadelphia Traffic Court Monday afternoon. Tovoyia Owens, a mother to a three-year-old girl, and her current boyfriend were leaving the courthouse at 800 Spring Garden St. when they had some sort of altercation with an ex-boyfriend and a group of men just before 2 p.m., sources said.

A high school in Lancaster, Pennsylvania, is defending its decision to segregate its students by race and gender. The scheme, at McCaskey East High School, separates black students from the rest of the school body, and then further breaks it down into black females and black males.
