This just might be the saddest news you will hear today—a giant panda, living in China's Jinan Zoo, died after accidently being gassed with carbon monoxide and chlorine.	A baby panda, who has been most famous in Thailand since her birth in later May, made her official debut on Saturday in a zoo in Thai northern city Chiang Mai, attracting thousands of visitors.

The eight-day-old cub was the first panda born in 2009. Thailand's Zoological Park Organisation invited the public to put forward names for the cub. It will choose the best four, on which the public will vote. People who submit names have a chance of winning 1 million baht and a family trip to see China's pandas.	A pair of pandas at the Taipei Zoo go on public display for the first time today to celebrate the Chinese New Year. And they're the cuddliest sign of warmer diplomatic ties between China and Taiwan.
