Former New York City Mayor Rudy Giuliani will appear in television and newspaper advertisements touting the safety of Entergy’s Indian Point nuclear power plant located outside the city, the company said Thursday.

Venezuelan President Hugo Chavez proposed creating a new oil exporters group parallel to OPEC that would include only the "giants" of global petroleum producers.	The New York State Department of Environmental Conservation just released a full draft of a report laying out the potential risks of a controversial form of natural gas drilling. Public comments are invited until Dec. 12 on the document, which outlines proposed rules governing a method that combines hydraulic fracturing with horizontal drilling.
