NY arrests 7 in $1M consumer identity theft

Seven suspects have been arrested in an identity theft scheme that netted more than $1 million in products and gift cards by tapping consumer charge accounts in four states, New York Attorney General Eric Schneiderman said Thursday.

A U.S. soldier was arrested three days after and 125 miles from where he escaped military custody, then eluded authorities using stolen vehicles and his own legs, police said Sunday.	A New York State man who went missing Monday while scuba diving in Hawaii is believed to be lost at sea, according to the U.S. Coast Guard.
