New York City rocked by deadly shootings again; 3 dead, 2 injured
One of the victims, a 38-year-old man, was mortally wounded when he stepped in the crossfire during a shooting in Brownsville, Brooklyn, early Sunday morning, police sources said.
Two other men, who the sources said appeared to be the intended targets, were also struck in the spray of gunfire that erupted at the corner of Livonia and Rockaway avenues after an argument at about 3:15 a.m.
A 32-year-old man was shot in the abdomen and a 26-year-old was hit in the foot, cops said.
They were both taken to Brookdale University Hospital and were in stable condition. The bystander was hit in his shoulder by a stray bullet and died at the scene.
