Baghdad Mosque Bombing Kills at Least 29
Among the dead was Iraqi lawmaker Khalid Al-Fahdawi. The president of the government-supported Sunni Endowment of Iraq, Ahmed Abdul Ghafour Al-Samarie, was wounded, Al-Arabiya television reported.
No group immediately claimed responsibility for the bombing.
The building is the largest Sunni mosque in Baghdad. The attack occurred during a special service of the holy Muslim month of Ramadan, which ends on Aug. 30.
