Naked couple jumps from New York bridge into Hudson River
The couple parked their Chevy Tahoe in the right lane of the three-mile-long Tappan Zee Bridge, which is about 30 miles north of Manhattan, before making the plunge.
The woman, described as being in her late 20s or early 30s, was pulled from the water alive, but died from her injuries shortly after, police said.
Her partner, who cops said was 44 years old, survived and was taken to nearby Nyack Hospital, where he is listed in extremely critical condition.
New York State Trooper Glen Williams said, "It was construction workers that saw them jump and other construction workers [underneath the bridge] that pulled them out."
