Same-Sex Marriage License Applications Online - USA - New York - NYC - society - gay - marriage

The New York City Clerk's Office will begin accepting online applications on July 5 for same-sex marriage licenses.

The actual lincense will not be available to couples until July 25.

On June 24, 2011, the Marriage Equality Act was signed into law in New York State. It will take effect on July 24.

The New York City Clerk will then begin issuing marriage licenses and providing civil marriage ceremonies to same-sex couples.
