A MOTHER and daughter were found fatally stabbed today inside a Brooklyn apartment and cops were looking to question the older woman's boyfriend.

Officers conducting a wellness check discovered the bodies of Larisa Prikhodko, 27, and her mother Tatyana Prikhodko, 57, in separate rooms in a Gravesend apartment in south Brooklyn. Both were registered nurses who worked in maternity units, police sources told the New York Post.

Larisa - a beautiful blonde who recently began a job at Mount Sinai Hospital and had a young son - was stabbed numerous times in the torso, sources said.

Her mother Tatyana, who worked at Brookdale Hospital for 13 years, had her throat slashed open and stab wounds to her torso and face, sources said.

Sources said the bodies of the mother and daughter were found after the father of Larisa's young child became concerned after she did not come by to pick up their son as scheduled on Sunday morning.

After waiting all day, the father then went to the local police precinct and alerted cops at about 8.30pm on Sunday.

Police went to the building and entered Larisa's third-floor apartment, where they found everything in order and nothing disturbed.

Cops then learned that neither Larisa nor Tatyana had shown up for work as scheduled. Police forced open the door to Tatyana's apartment upstairs and found both women dead with several bloody knives near their bodies.
