Ex-Cop Husband Of Slain Bronx Mom Tina Adovasio Arraigned - USA - New York - NYC - crime - Bronx


The day after a Bronx mother of four was laid to rest, her husband, a former New York City police officer, was arraigned.



Edwin Coello was ordered to be held without bail by Judge John Hecht. and is scheduled to appear in court on Monday, March 28, 2011.

The crowd outside the 45th Precinct Stationhouse shouted profanities as Coello was brought out in handcuffs Tuesday, accused of killing his wife, Tina Adovasio.

Hours earlier, the strangled maternity nurse was laid to rest in front of heartbroken family and friends. Advasio’s oldest son, 16-year-old Joseph, reportedly told their priest that he wanted everyone to know his mother always put her children first.

Many at the funeral knew all about a marriage that had been filled with domestic violence.
