MTA: Weekend Service Changes Planned On 14 Subway Lines - USA - New York - society - NYC - transportation - MTA

Getting around the city this weekend could be difficult for many straphangers, as there are service changes affecting 14 different lines.

The lines affected are the 1, 2, 4, 5, 6, A, D, F, G, L, N, Q, R, and Rockaway shuttle.

Starting at midnight tonight until 5 a.m. Monday, there will be no Q trains running between Manhattan and Queens.

Most of the other changes are only in effect for overnight hours or involve skipping a few stops.

According to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority, the changes are due to capital construction work on the subway system that's aimed at upgrading and maintaining tracks, stations, and signal systems.
