Police Seek Suspect In Brooklyn Stabbing Spree - USA - crime - NYC - New York - stabbing - Brooklyn


Sources say investigators were searching late Friday for a man who allegedly stabbed his stepfather, his girlfriend and her mother and injured two others in Brooklyn that day.



Maksim Gelman, 23, was suspected to have killed his stepfather, 54-year-old Aleksander Kuznetsov, according to sources.

Kuznetsov was found dead Friday morning inside his house at 2830 East 27th Street in Sheepshead Bay. He had been stabbed several times.

Later in the day, police said Gelman stabbed and killed two women at 2466 East 24th Street, fled in a getaway car and then allegedly carjacked a Pontiac.

Sources said the victims are Gelman's girlfriend and her mother.

Police said Gelman stabbed the Pontiac's driver and then struck a pedestrian in the process.

(...) Gelman is 6 feet tall and 170 pounds. He was believed to be driving a green, four-door 1995 Pontiac Bonneville with license plate number KJX189.

Friday evening, police were called to East 15th Street and Avenue H in Midwood, Brooklyn, to investigate a report that the car had been found there.

Police were offering late Friday $12,000 for any info leading to an arrest.
