Queens Man Faces Murder Charges In Connection With Birthday Shooting - USA - crime - New York - NYC - Queens - murder


Police have made an arrest in the death of a woman who was fatally shot at a birthday party in Queens this weekend. Mairs O'Neil, 23, turned himself in to police. He faces murder, weapons and reckless endangerment charges.



Avalisa Morris, 26, was shot through the door of a home on 119th Road in St. Albans just after 4 a.m. yesterday.

The shooting happened during a surprise birthday party that Morris was throwing for her friend.

Witnesses say two men at the party began arguing, and were told to take the disagreement outside. Shots were fired through the closed door – hitting Morris in the head and stomach. She died at the scene.
