Sledding Accident Kills Staten Island Jets Fan
A Jets victory celebration turned deadly for one fan on Staten Island. Ray Larsen was struck and killed by an SUV while celebrating Gang Green’s win over the Patriots Sunday night. Police told 1010 WINS’ John Montone that the victim had been drinking during the game, but it is unknown how many drinks he had or if he was intoxicated.
According to investigators, the 46-year-old sat on a green sled and careened down his steep, unplowed driveway in Great Kills, veering right into the path of the vehicle as it drove down his street.
The driver, a 61-year-old woman, will not face charges.
