Firefighter Hospitalized After Eight-Alarm Blaze Strikes Queens Building - USA - New York - NYC - Queens


Three firefighters were taken to the hospital early Tuesday morning for injuries received while fighting a massive blaze in a commercial building in Jamaica, Queens.



The eight-alarm fire broke out at around 1 a.m. Tuesday at 95-20 150th Street.

The blaze through the one-story structure and forced the evacuation of at least one nearby building.

Six firefighters were injured in the fire, with three of them being taken to the Cornell Hospital burn unit. One of the three was admitted for facial burns.

Red Cross representatives were also called to the scene.
