Police: Arrest Made In Strangling Death Of Bronx Woman - USA - crime - Manhattan - murder - New York - NYC


Police in Manhattan have made an arrest in connection with the death of a woman whose body was found stuffed in a suitcase last week.



Hassan Malik, 55, is charged with murder in the second degree.

Police say he is the person seen in a surveillance video dragging the suitcase along 114th Street near Jefferson Park in East Harlem shortly after midnight on Wednesday.

Officers discovered the body of Betty Williams, 28, of the Bronx inside.

The medical examiner says she was strangled.
