Brooklyn Man Fatally Stabs Mother, Critically Wounds Father

Investigators say the victims have been identified as Raymond and Margaret Devaney, who lived in their Windsor Terrace home for about seven years.

It's believed their adult son, Ryan Devaney, 31, stabbed his parents then walked down the street and threw himself in front of a G train.

He is listed in serious condition at Lutheran Hospital.

Margaret Devaney, or Peggy as she was known to friends, was found with stab wounds to the eye and abdomen.

She was pronounced dead on arrival at Methodist Hospital.

Her husband Raymond was found with stab wounds to the throat.

He was brought to Methodist Hospital in critical condition.

Neighbors say the son has a history of mental illness.
