Queens livery driver fighting for life after passenger shoots him in the neck
Trevor Bell was at the end of his shift when he unwittingly agreed to take the gunman on a $12 ride to a dead-end street in South Ozone Park, cops said.
"He was a nice guy," said his boss Frank Favors at Big D Car Service.
The shooter arrived at the car service on Merrick Boulevard shortly before 9 p.m. Friday and negotiated the fare, cops said.
Bell drove the man to 122nd Street and Sutter Ave. where the passenger suddenly pulled out a gun and shot the driver at point-blank range.
As Bell slumped over in the front seat, blood pouring from a wound in his neck, the gunman dashed away from the still-running 2005 Chevy Impala.
