Wisconsin teen hospitalized after holding classmates, teacher hostage

Police say a 15-year-old student held the group at gunpoint in Marinette High School near Green Bay.

Twenty-three high school students and their teacher are safe after nearly five hours of terror. The group was held hostage in their classroom by a fellow student, armed with two guns,  just as the school day was wrapping up. 

As the hours passed, family and friends of the hostages gathered nearby hoping for answers. eventually, police heard three gunshots and moved in.

"At that time, the officers breached the door, entered the classroom and saw the suspect standing in the front of the classroom."

The 15-year-old then shot himself. His condition not being released. Fellow students say they were shocked.
