Death Of Staten Island Toddler Ruled A Homicide

The city medical examiner's office says Josiah Taylor, 2, of Concord died as a result of battered child syndrome.

Police sources say officers were called to 345 Mosel Avenue earlier in the day where the child was found unconscious and unresponsive.

He was transported to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.

Neighbors who spoke with NY1 at the scene say the family was new to the community and that the toddler's mother kept to herself.
