Woman Admits Stealing from Brain-Damaged Husband - USA - NYC - New York - crime - fraud


A woman has admitted to taking more than $100,000 from a brain-damaged New York man she married and a demented 89-year-old she befriended.



Cher Thompson cried and whispered answers to a judge's questions as she pleaded guilty Friday to grand larceny, scheming to defraud and other charges.

She's been promised a 3 1/2-to-seven-year prison term. Her sentencing is set for Dec. 21 in Manhattan.
