Peruvian Judge Orders Release For Imprisoned New York Woman

Lori Berenson, 40, acknowledged collaborating with the rebel group, but says she was never a member and never involved in acts of violence.

She was paroled in May after serving 15 years of a 20-year sentence, but was returned to prison in mid-August after a higher court ruled the judge who granted her parole improperly calculated her time served.

Berenson's parents, who live in New York City, said they want to finally put an end to her ordeal.
