Nearly one-tenth of sexually active New York City high school students say they have had at least one same-sex partner.

The teens who say they've had sex with both males and females also report higher-than-average rates of dating violence, forced sex and risky sexual behavior.

Those are among the results of surveys of 17,220 city high school students conducted in 2005 and 2007.

Students were asked whether they considered themselves straight, gay or lesbian, bisexual or "not sure.'' Of the teens with at least one same-sex partner, 38.9 percent answered ``heterosexual or straight.''
