Oh what a feeling indeed. Toyota, which was rocked earlier this year by a massive recall that damaged the company's image and raised safety concerns about many of its cars, is recalling another 1.53 million vehicles around the world.

This time the concern is over brake fluid and fuel pump problems, and include the 2005 and 2006 Avalon, 2004 through 2006 non-hybrid Highlander and Lexus RX330, along with the 2006 Lexus GS300, IS250, and IS350 vehicles, the company said in a release.

Of those recalled, 740,000 are from the United States and 599,000 are from Japan. The rest come from Europe and other regions around the world.

The majority of vehicles this time around need to be fixed for a problem with the brake master cylinder, which could lead to weaker braking power, said spokesman Paul Nolasco in Tokyo.

Models from nations outside the United States may also suffer from electrical problems, he added.
