Nicole Paultre Bell, fiancee of police shooting victim Sean Bell, eyes run for Queens City Council
Nicole Paultre Bell, who was supposed to wed the doomed man the day he was gunned down in a hail of 50 police bullets, may run in a special election in November for the seat in southern Queens.
Her lawyer refused to comment on the report, but coyly mentioned that she would pay her respects to White at his funeral today.
"I know she's going to the funeral," said lawyer Sanford Rubenstein.
Paultre Bell, who lives in the Rockaways, controls Sean Bell's estate, which recently won a more than $3 million settlement from the city over the Nov. 25, 2006, shooting of the unarmed man.
She has become increasingly politically active and is a fixture at the Rev. Al Sharpton's National Action Network meetings in Harlem.
