Queens DA: Man Posed As Transit Worker, Stole Bus
Queens District Attorney Richard Brown says Darius McCollum, 45, was arrested Tuesday morning in Kew Gardens for allegedly stealing a New York Trailways bus from a maintenance yard in Hoboken, New Jersey.
This isn't the first time McCollum pulled a transit stunt.
He first made headlines when he took over a subway train at the age of 15.
The DA says McCollum has been arrested more than 20 times for commandeering trains and buses, posing as a transit worker and other offenses.
(...) McCollum is charged with grand larceny, possession of stolen property, and unauthorized use of a vehicle.
If convicted, he faces up to 15 years in prison.
