Clemens Pleads Not Guilty To Federal Charges
The seven-time Cy Young Award winner appeared before U.S. District Judge Reggie Walton in Washington, D.C. at 2 p.m.
He was indicted last week on three counts of making false statements, two counts of perjury and one count of obstruction of justice in connection with his 2008 hearing before Congress.
At the 2008 hearing and ever since, Clemens has denied using steroids and HGH, contrary to the testimony of his former trainer Brian McNamee.
His friend and former teammate, Yankee pitcher Andy Pettitte, testified that Clemens told him in a conversation that he used HGH.
