Man Who Stabbed Muslim Cabbie Indicted On Hate Crime Charges - USA - New York - NYC - crime - hate crime

The man accused of slashing a Muslim taxi driver last week was formally indicted on hate crime charges Monday.

Prosecutors say Michael Enright, 21, also waived his right to appear at a court hearing in Manhattan.

Enright is now set to be arraigned next month on attempted murder and assault -- both as hate crimes.

He's being held without bail in a psychiatric ward.
