The ex-con charged with killing a popular Brooklyn liquor store clerk was fingered for the crime by his married girlfriend, law enforcement sources said.

Eion Klass, who was ordered held without bail during his arraignment Thursday, told detectives he pumped two bullets into Yoseph Robinson - a clerk the suspect befriended in recent weeks.

Investigators closed in on Klass, 34, when they received several tips - including one from the Brooklyn woman, the sources said. That woman's husband confronted Klass about the relationship at some point in the spring, the sources said.

They squared off again on June 28, when Klass ambushed his gal pal's husband on E. 17th St. in Flatbush, knocking him to the ground and repeatedly kicking him. Then he snatched the man's cell phone and gold chain, police said.

Klass was held at the 70th Precinct stationhouse in Brooklyn on a warrant for that robbery while investigators compiled evidence to charge him for Robinson's murder.
