Dallas officer hurt while leading Obama motorcade
A police statement says the crash happened about 4 p.m. Monday at an intersection as Obama's motorcade was heading to a Democratic Party fundraiser.
A police spokesman says no other details are available.
But witnesses say the officer was standing and talking before he was taken to a nearby hospital. They say the officer was leading the motorcade when he apparently lost control of his motorcycle and flipped on a median.
In February 2008, a Dallas motorcycle officer died in a motorcycle crash while escorting then-Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Rodham Clinton's motorcade.
