Ladies, get your engines ready. The Alexander Wang sample sale kicks off today and runs through Saturday.

For many, it'll be a holiday weekend starting Thursday, when the it-boy designer puts select resort and spring 2010 handbags and apparel on sale for up to 80 percent off. The event goes down at 93 Mercer Street, just a few blocks north of the rumored future home of Alexander Wang's first boutique at 103 Grand Street, in the former Yohji Yamamoto space.

93 Mercer Street (between Spring & Broome): Thursday, 2pm-7pm; Friday-Saturday, 10am-7pm; Sunday, 10am-4pm.
