Paterson To Ask Legislature To Reconsider Proposals
In a special session on Wednesday, Paterson is expected to re-introduce his proposals for a penny-an-ounce tax on sugary drinks and to allow grocery stores to sell wine.
His agenda will also include a cap on local property taxes, and a plan to allow public universities to set their own tuition.
The State Senate needs to approve a single revenue bill to complete the budget, which is now nearly four-months overdue.
