Police Investigate Deadly Shooting In Astoria
Police say they responded to reports of shots fired just before 5 a.m. on the corner of 28th Street and Ditmars Boulevard in Astoria.
Upon their arrival, they found John Giampetruzzi, 41, of Glen Cove, shot five times in the head.
He died at the scene.
(...) According to the New York Times, police don't believe the victim was robbed and are trying to determine whether the shooting was drug-related.
