A driver accused of killing an elderly Staten Island couple in a hit-and-run accident last year was slapped with new charges Wednesday.

Allmir Lekperic, 26, now is facing two counts of criminally negligent homicide for mowing down Lillian Sabados, 77, and her husband, Peter, 78.

The couple was on their way to a Thanksgiving eve Mass when Lekperic blew through a red light and crashed into them, authorities said.

Prosecutors tacked on the extra charges after an eight-month investigation by the Staten Island District Attorney.

Lekperic had been charged with leaving the scene of an accident, a felony.
