Brooklyn mother shot in head, three others wounded in Coney Island gunfight
Felicia Rogucki, 16, was with the two brothers in the courtyard of the O'Dwyer Gardens Houses in Coney Island last night when her brother Lorenzo took offense and called her inside, their family said.
Lorenzo Rogucki, 19, then squared off with the two brothers, and his mother, Victoria Rogucki, 36, tried to intervene.
Multiple shots rang out from both sides of the quarrel, leaving Victoria Rogucki, a mother of seven, in critical condition after being shot in the head, police said.
"She was trying to keep her son from fighting," said her father, Charles Rogucki, 71. "She is a good mother. She was scared for her kid."
The two brothers, ages 20 and 24, were both shot in the arm. Police believe they shot Victoria Rogucki and an unidentified 29-year-old man, who was hit in the neck and was in critical condition.
