Connecticut man arraigned on NYC class-trip sex charges - USA - NYC - New York - crime - sex abuse


Bail was set at $200,000 today for a Connecticut dad charged with turning a recent Manhattan bus trip into a school girl grope-fest.



As his wife sobbed and his 9-year-old son watched from the audience of Manhattan Criminal Court, Tomas Manzano, 35, of Stamford, was handcuffed and ordered held on sex abuse and endangering charges.

Manzano was supposed to be chaperoning his son and other Stamford fifth graders on a field trip to New York last Wednesday.

Instead, he spent the double-decker school bus ride into the city swilling vodka and fondling six of his son's female classmates, prosecutors charge.

(...) Manhattan Criminal Court Judge Melissa Jackson set bail at $200,000 bond or $100,000 cash.
