CNN's Larry King files for divorce for the eighth time

The couple are said to have had an "explosive argument" at their Beverly Hills home before the split.

Minutes after King, 76, filed divorce papers in Los Angeles Superior Court, Southwick, 50, filed her own documents. Both cited "irreconcilable differences."

The couple married in 1997. They have two sons together, Chace, 11, and Cannon, 9. 

Southwick is seeking primary physical custody of the two boys, as well as spousal and child support. She also wants property and the couple's house in Beverly Hills.

According to RadarOnline.com, Southwick accused King of sleeping with her younger sister, Shannon Engemann, 45.

Sources familiar with the matter say King bought Engemann a $160,000 car and spent more than one million dollars on her.

Engemann, however, told TMZ.com, "I did not have an affair with Larry. He's been like a father to me."

This is the eighth divorce for King. In 1962, he divorced a woman Alene Akins, whom he remarried in 1967, before divorcing her again in 1972.
