Married Missouri representative had sex with a teen he'd mentored

The college student claimed Rep. LeBlanc had raped her, while the representative alleged they had had consensual sex.

The alleged incident happened on Sunday, November 15, 2009.

The 38-year-old first-term Democratic state representative had known the 18-year-old young woman "Anna" (pseudonym) since she was 15. She was attending college, which was partly financed by a scholarship through the Venturing program with the Boy Scouts of America -- a program for which LeBlanc was a volunteer mentor, the article on Pitch.com says.

Throughout the years, the representative and the young woman's family have developed a close relationship.

"We developed a very close friendship," Anna's father, "Bruce" recalls. "He even paid the bill for her skiing once, then had people from the Boy Scouts paying her medical bills when she got hurt. So it never set alarms off for me, him asking to do something like drive her to school, because we had all become so close. I broke bread with the man at my table."

In one of the weekends, Anna visited her family in Kansas City for a pre-Thanksgiving meal, when LeBlanc phoned to offer the student a ride back to town where she went to school.

Anna's parents, Bruce and Marla (not real names), trusting LeBlanc, allowed their daughter to go with the man.

Text messages later recovered by police from Anna's phone showed that almost immediately after leaving home, she became frightened by LeBlanc's behavior and tried to ask for a friend's help in text messages:

"Save me from mr lee! He is being gross
Baby im scared. So serious. He is taking me somewhere and im really scared
Baby im really scared cuz he wont take me to the school Unless i do it
Take me to school right now and im yelling and cursing but its not doing anything he is just laughing"

The representative drove Anna to a two-story house at 8637 North Christian Avenue, which belonged to a friend of his. He had a key for the front door.

LeBlanc took Anna upstairs to a bedroom where he performed oral sex on her and then had vaginal intercourse with her. He used a condom and when he finished, he wrapped it in a tissue and put it in his pocket. He wiped Anna's body off with a pink washcloth. LeBlanc then left the house with Anna and drove her to her dorm.
