Jessica Simpson retched after eating fried worms in Thailand during filming her the first episode of her new reality show "The Price Of Beauty" for VH1. The singer chewed on the dead bugs at a Bangkok food market after being told they speed up metabolism and could burn extra calories.

Simpson was travelling around the world with best pals hairdresser Ken Paves and CaCee Cobb in a quest to discover what women of different cultures are willing to do in order to see themselves beautiful.

During her visit to Thailand, the singer met a Thai woman who destroyed her appearance after trying to bleach her skin.

She also visited women of the "long-neck" Karen tribe, who wear stacks of heavy gold rings on their necks.

Simpson underwent an intensive session of Thai massage, and burst out in giggles while meditating with a Buddhist monk.
