Twitter now lets the world know WHERE you are - Technology - Twitter - Internet

A new feature allows Twitter users to display their location, when they are tweeting, via a tracking tool that can be turned on or off.

When the option is turned on, tweets will link to a Google map of the area the user is in.

Devoted Twitter users have been warned to be careful about how and when they harness the power of the new feature, which works by shadowing people through their web browsers.

The developers of the microblogging website believe the tracking tool will make Twitter even more useful for anyone looking for real-time information.
