Wally Hermès Yachts (WHY), a joint venture between yacht designer Wally and fashion house Hermès, revealed the designs for its WHY watercraft at the Abu Dhabi Yachts Show this week.

Hermes artistic director Pierre-Alexis Dumas said fiction writer Jules Verne had inspired the design.

The
WHY 58x38 motor yacht is 58 metres long and 38 metres wide, with a total guest surface area of 3,400sq metres, and weighs in at 2,400 tonnes.

It has a maximum speed of 14 knots and a price of $160 million. The yacht can cater for up to 12 guests, each enjoying 280sqm of private space and will employ a crew of 20.

The watercraft has three floors, consisting of a "master space", "guest space" and "common space".

The 200-sqm master space, with a 25 metre-wide private terrace, occupies the third floor, while the guest space with five bedrooms is located on the second floor.

The common space at the bottom of the yacht, houses the common facilities: a 25-metre swimming pool, cinema, music room, dining room and a 30m beach.
