UAE bans Israeli dual citizens from entering country; Israeli PM, Mossad chief face arrest
Dubai Police Chief Lt. Gen. Dahi Khalfan Tamim said he would ask the local prosecutor to issue arrest warrants for Benjamin Netanyahu and Meir Dagan this week.
Lt. Gen. Tamim added he was "almost certain" Israeli agents were linked to the killing of Mahmoud al-Mabhouh at a Dubai hotel in January.
Due to the assassination, Israeli dual citizens will be banned from entering the United Arab Emirates.
"We will not allow those who hold Israeli passports into the UAE no matter what other passport they have," Lt. Gen. Tamim said.
Speaking of the past, he said, "We knew Israelis from their accents, but when they used European passports to come here, we accepted that and we treated them as Europeans. But after this day, if they have dual citizenship, we will exert extreme caution.
“We know how to recognize them,” Lt. Gen. Tamim claimed, adding his officials would be seeking for "Jews" and would identify them by "physical features and the way they speak.''
