Don't expect all your Android apps to have real functionality. Here are seven applications for your Android phone that are merely cool and interesting:



Floating Image

Floating Image streams images from the web as well as from the device and displays them in a continuous stream of floating images across the display.




Google SkyMap

Google SkyMap helps you find planets, stars, and constellations guided by your phone and displays real-time information on them. You can use an automatic mode to let SkyMap adjust the map for you or switch to a manual mode that allows the map to be dragged with a finger, so that you can browse the celestial map or searching for objects at will.

Google Goggles

Google Goggles is a visual search app for Android phones. Instead of using words, you can take a picture of an object with your camera phone, which will to recognize the object, and return relevant search results. Goggles also provides information about businesses near you by displaying their names directly in the camera preview.

Google is also planning to implement text translation into Goggles.



 

Talk To Me

Talk To Me is a translator application that translates your text or speech between over 40 different languages, and speak the translations back to you.

The
MovieFone application was developed by AOL Mobile. It provides you with all the data from moviefone.com, including synopses, coming attractions, theater listings based on your location, and full trailer videos built right in.
