U.S. trustee seeks bankruptcy denial for Capitol View developer
The $28 million dollar project was substantially funded with public money and was supposed to bring commerce and jobs to a brown field flanking downtown Harrisburg. Commerce Bank/Harrisburg, rebranded as Metro Bank, provided private financing for the facility.
Acting trustee Roberta A. DeAngelis said Dodd, who owned the defunct business Advanced Communications based in Penbrook, lied last year under oath during a June creditors meeting and gave false information in bankruptcy schedules and statements, according to Feb. 1 documents filed in the U.S Bankruptcy Court for the Middle District of Pennsylvania in Harrisburg.
Dodd, of Hampden Townshp, did not disclose his legal and/or equitable interest in an entity called Industrial Design and Construction Inc., a firm known as IDC he set up to manufacture and install pre-cast concrete at Capitol View, DeAngelis said in the filing. Dodd did not identify himself as an officer, director or shareholder of IDC to conceal his interest in, and control of the company, according to the U.S. trustee's petition.
