According to the press release by office of the Vice President, Biden will lead the U.S. delegation, who will travel from February 12th through February 15th, to the opening weekend of the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver, Canada.

The delegation would attend the opening ceremony, meet with U.S. athletes, attend events and meet with other dignitaries and leaders from around the world, the press release said.

The 1980 Olympic winner Mike Eruzione of U.S. men's hockey team, 1968 Olympic gold medalist Peggy Fleming of women's figure skating, and 2002 Olympic champion Vonetta Flowers of women's bobsledding are also included in the name list of the delegation.

Jacobson said in the statement: "There is so much to look forward to in the coming Olympics and Paralympics. I hope our delegation will be joined by many other American sports fans traveling north of the border to enjoy the Games and cheer for our athletes."
