Candidates for Kennedy Senate seat raking in cash
Democrat Martha Coakley’s campaign said she’s raised about $1 million in the reporting period that ends Thursday at midnight.
That brings Coakley’s total fundraising number since the beginning of the Senate campaign to more than $5.2 million.
Republican Scott Brown said his fundraising has picked up since he won the GOP primary. He said he’s raised $700,000 during the reporting period.
Brown said much of the fundraising has come online. On Thursday he launched a so-called "money bomb" — an Internet fundraising tool used to raise money over a specific time period.
The election is Jan. 19.
